Once the determination is there, the learning always seems to take care of itself.
That is what this local medical team is teaching me this mission.
It was determination in the OR when the doctors and OR team had their first patient—little Hasineen—completely prepped and ready for surgery by the time we pulled up to the hospital.
It is determination all over the ICU as nurses scramble to make sure they can handle the 15+ children who will pass through their care these next few days.
Determination has even made its way to the hospital ward as parents continue to offer support for all the other moms and dads waiting for their child’s name to be called, and determination is what has already made this mission stand out from so many others.
Day two is almost over and Hasineen and Muntathar have already made it through their surgeries.
