Abeer is incredible!
She has already shown us what she can do for herself, her family, and her community using her natural business skills and a Preemptive Love Empowerment grant. Her kids are still in school and she is still expanding her corner store business!
The hot summer months are quickly approaching already here, so to keep cool she bought a fan for her shop and a freezer for her goods. Now she can sell meat and ice cream, giving her more profit and her neighbors more options.
But her forward-thinking mind isn’t about to stop, and she is already saving money for her next expansion to bring even more new goods to her neighborhood during Ramadan.
Abeer continues to prove the power of helping and then getting out of the way.
A small gift enabled her to start her business, and now we’re getting out of the way as she uses her wares to serve over 12 families in her community who also fled violence. Knowing what it’s like to be starting over, Abeer sells to displaced families at a lower rate.
It is so exciting to see women like Abeer taking control of their future and serving their families and communities!
