Muslims Gather In The Streets To Celebrate Christmas In Najaf, Iraq

A note from our friend, Sami, who helped organize the event:

"Over fifty people have gathered at Al Rawan Street in the heart of Najaf City for the first time in recent history to celebrate openly the birth of Jesus Christ... Many young people, children with their parents, religious scholars, women and other passing bye locals participated in the occasion while others were cautious not to do so fearing criticism from some close minded religious group who argued about the inadequate timing of the event..."
