After two different operations in the last 24 hours, Saaja’s heart has been fully mended. I almost tripped over Saaja’s mother to tell her the good news because she was sitting just outside the hospital doors, waiting for news about her daughter.
“Was it okay? Is my daughter okay?”
Me: “Yes!”
“So, it’s finished? Everything is finished?”
Me: “Yes!”
“Oh, thank God, thank God, thank God!”
Saaja is headed into the ICU where we hope a full recovery awaits her. More lifesaving heart surgeries on the way!
