When we received this update from a nurse in Libya, we knew you’d want to hear it:
“Ramadan is perfect!”
The nurses want to keep him around for a little while longer to monitor his blood levels. They offered to send him to another hospital in a nearby city, but he wanted to stay put. Guess he likes us!
Libya is a country in turmoil. His family knows deep pain. Through spending time with them, playing games, and encouraging him, we were able to care for Ramadan’s whole person—not just his heart.
